The Jo Show

(just yappin')

[11/28/2025] (1:58 am): Status update: I harbor the theory that the most common life objectives can be split into 4 categories. Maintenance, money, relationships, greater purpose.
Maintenance can be described as things you do to keep a baseline for living, so anything regarding your physical and mental health.
Maintenance: I am currently working on functional strength for mma as well as cardio. For mental health, I am seeing a therapist. She's fine, I do feel underwhelmed at times. Money: Gameplan. Keep the grades at a 3.0 min, but don't stress too much about it despite what my parents say because PROJECTS WILL SAVE ME INSHALLAH. Projects will be the future. They will provide just enough experience, skills, and teamwork qualifications to land the first job, and from there everything will snowball. Relationships: I've legitimately stopped caring, but I do want someone to cuddle at night so perhaps I should start looking somewhere. Greater purpose: I would like to be an artist, but every time I try and pick up a hobby I feel like I either have zero support or too much pressure. Will work on that. Right now, it looks like I'm currently lacking with relationships and greater purpose. I do have tentative plans for both, so it looks like i'm just missing that initial motivation and
consistency. Here's something I realized: improvement is largely 3 things: consistency, review/feedback, and understanding. Anyways. see you never.

[9/24/25] (2:24 am): everything sucks

[8/31/25] (10:21 pm): I will not be a waste of money. I will get a job and do school at the same time. I will only do clubs that contribute to computer science. I will only
do things that will help me get money. Job. Get higher on the job. I need to stalk people and force them to accept my internship. Never mind, I need to fill my resume and send it to
as many people as possible. I feel like everyone needs to be a psychopath at least a little to progress money wise. Excersise is secondary. Sleep is secondary. Food is secondary.
Social life is secondary. Mental health is secondary. I need to make money. I need to make money. I need to make money. I need to make money.

[8/30/25] Oh man its been a while. I just zoned out mentally and now its been an entire month. No wonder my channel's dead. There's a lot I can add to this website, so stay tuned.

[7/25/25] (7:05 pm): Today I read "Bookhunter" by Jason Shiga. I liked Meanwhile and Demon, and Demon in particular has a really intriquing power system that I will probably put
somewhere if I make a story with powers. Bookhunter is a fun police investigation story that does require you to know a surprisingly lot about book making, library cataloguing, forensics, etc.
If you're willing to learn or guess, its fine, but I do notice that this is a recurring aspect with Shiga's other books. Its similar to Andy Weir (author of The Martian)'s way of writing.

[7/24/25] (11:22 pm): Yesterday was sort of a mess, so I won't talk about it. Today, I watched The Adam Project and The Outsider on Netflix (no spoilers). AP was pretty good,
I found the story compelling, since its kind of like connecting with your past self/inner child, and I think it handled it nicely. I felt good watching it. On the other hand,
Outsider was... ok. I think some scenes had intensity, which I liked, but a lot more were just Jared Leto saying nothing. You're only going to feel for these characters if
you feel their "brotherhood" connection, and like, yeah its a yakuza movie thats the point, but I personally didn't feel like the MC Nick's motivations were that strong besides the
end portion, like we don't see a lot of change in his character, at least not that I noticed. I actually put it on my list so I could learn about yakuza to potentially make a story
about it, but I didn't really learn anything new that isn't something I wouldn't logically come up with. Could have been more productive with my day, I feel. At least it's not youtube.

[7/22/25] (10:18 pm): Just typing to generate a consistent schedule atp. I have stuff on my mind, but I should focus on making this site better, I think.

[7/21/25] (10:19 pm): I really like comic sans as a font. Pretty much everyone agrees that it's ugly or unprofessional or whatnot, and I would agree.
But it's that very reason that I love the font so much. No other font really has that same kind of noteriety. It's even easier to read for dyslexic
people apparantly due to its inconsistency in shape. Basically, it breaks every rule of what makes fonts good to look at and I love it for that fact.
Its like, the anarchist font in a way. Maybe not. That's just how I think of it. also hehehe sans undertale eeeee eeee ee ee

[7/20/25] (12:45 am): I wonder what will become of this website.
